I decided to do ratings because as most home cooks like you, nothing aggravates me more than a recipe that says it takes 30 minutes when it actually takes an hour and a half. Because lets be real, whether you work, full-time or part-time, or stay-at-home, whatever stage of life you’re in we all know time and resources are precious. Therefore, this is a rating from me, your average full-time working girl making it in her home after work or on the weekends. Below is how I will rate each recipe I try based on steps, involvement, and ingredients.
STEPS
Easy: 5 steps or less
Moderate: 5 – 10 steps
Difficult: 10 + steps
INVOLVEMENT
Easy: less than 30 minutes of prep
Moderate: 30 minutes – 1 hour of prep
Difficult: Greater than 1 hour of prep
INGREDIENTS/AVAILABILITY
Easy: 10 or less ingredients, readily available at any grocery store
Moderate: 10 – 15 ingredients, mostly available at any grocery store but may need to go to 2 stores to find everything
Difficult: 15 ingredients or more, have to find ingredients at multiple stores
